Nexus Hud

Nexus Hud

nexus-hud: Modern HUD, Vehicle Dashboard and Square Minimap for FiveM

A clean, fully customisable HUD with a built-in vehicle dashboard, compass, postals, live polls, and a drag-and-drop layout editor. Everything is configurable in game.

Inspired by NahRyan’s HUD, redesigned and extended by Nexus Development. (with permission)

Player HUD

  • Status display: health, armor and the rest of your player data in a compact, modern layout.
  • Compass with street and zone names.
  • Voice indicator, which shows when you’re talking.
  • Department and callsign, shown automatically when you go on duty with nexusCore.
  • Headtag display for your current tags.
  • Square minimap with the streamed map files included, so no extra download.

Vehicle HUD

  • Speedometer in MPH or KPH.
  • Fuel, RPM and gear readouts.
  • Engine status, with engine oil/damage warnings that light up like a real dashboard.
  • Left/right indicators and hazards:
    • Left and Right arrow keys for indicators.
    • Hold Backspace for 2 seconds for hazards.
  • Headlight/highbeam icon (key H).
  • Seatbelt (key B) with a click sound, a seatbelt chime when you’re moving unbuckled, and no exiting the vehicle while buckled.
  • Cruise control (key P) with a configurable speed cap.
  • Odometer per vehicle.
  • In-car commands: /door, /window, /seat and /eng.

Postals

  • /postal to set a waypoint to any postal code, and the nearest postal is always shown.
  • Includes a full postal data set.

Customise everything in game

  • /settings opens an interface settings panel for your own preferences.
  • Visual layout editor with snap-to-grid, so players can move and arrange HUD elements however they like. Layouts are saved per player.
  • Accent colour, plus an on-screen Discord link you can change in the config.
  • Hide or show the whole HUD with one toggle.

Management and polls

  • /manage opens a management menu for staff (role-controlled through Discord roles).
  • Host live polls for your community. Players vote with /vote 1 and so on, and results show on screen.

Optional integrations

  • nexusCore: department, callsign and headtag display.
  • Works with any voice resource that exposes talking state through pma-voice.

Config (simple and clearly labelled)

Config.Accent = { r = 20, g = 141, b = 227 }
Config.DiscordLink = "discord.gg/yourserver"
Config.CruiseSpeed = 50
Config.SeatbeltChime = { enabled = true, minSpeed = 10, interval = 3000 }

Role IDs for the management menu go in one file, discord-config.lua.

Requirements

  • ox_lib
  • PolyZone
  • A Discord bot (only needed for the role-based management menu)

Installation

  1. Drop nexus-hud into your resources folder.
  2. Add your role IDs to discord-config.lua.

Nexus TV Script

Nexus TV Script

Nexus TV: placeable wall TVs with synced YouTube

Let your players mount a TV on any wall and watch together. Turn it on, open the remote, paste a link, and everyone nearby sees and hears the same thing at the same time.

Features

Place it anywhere on a wall

  • /tv gives a see-through preview that snaps to the wall you’re aiming at.
  • Slide it with the arrow keys, push it in or out with the mouse wheel, tilt it, then place it.
  • It only accepts flat walls with solid backing, and it won’t overlap another TV. A green or red outline shows whether it can be placed.

A smart-TV remote with a camera zoom

  • Use third eye on the TV and the camera eases in on the screen.
  • Pick an app, paste a link and press play. There’s pause, ±10s seek, loop and volume.
  • A clean, flat interface with no clutter.

Plays what your players want

  • YouTube links (watch, short links, shorts, live streams)
  • Vimeo, Dailymotion and Twitch channels
  • Direct video, audio and image links
  • Other web links: the server looks inside the page for the real video file

Properly synced

  • Everyone sees the same moment of the video, even if they walk up halfway through.
  • Sound gets quieter with distance and is muffled through walls and other interiors.
  • Each player has their own volume mute and their own list of recently played links.

Built for servers

  • TVs are saved and come back after a restart.
  • Only the player who placed a TV, or a staff member, can take it down.
  • A limit on TVs per player, and staff commands to remove or clear TVs.
  • Works with ox_target or qb-target, or the built-in [E] prompt if you use neither.
  • Standalone. No framework needed.
  • Everything is easy to change in config.lua.

Requirements

  • OneSync enabled
  • The resource folder must be named tv-script

Good to know

  • TVs of the same model close together show the same picture.
  • Pages that can’t be turned into a video are shown as a web page instead, with no pause or volume control, and some sites block this.

Support

Full setup guide and troubleshooting included in the README.
